This is part of a series of small, mixed-media paintings called Loteria by Chicago artist Alma Dominguez that I spotted recently in my favorite Pilsen cafe, Efebina’s. I fell in love with “La Chalupa” (48) immediately. The picture I’ve posted here doesn’t really do it much justice, but it’s utterly outstanding in person. I’ve emailed the artist about it, so hopefully, it will soon be mine. ::Fingers crossed::
